Through The Fish Marmolada

The route ATTRAVESO IL PESCE on the mythical south face of the Marmolada was considered for many years as one of the most difficult rock climbs in the Alps. For me it is one of those great Alpine routes that I go back to climb every year. The climbing is truly inspiring from the first pitch right to the last, and its aesthetic appeal and the form of protection used certainly makes it one of the most satisfying routes in the Alps. The south face of the Marmolada catches the sun and the route is in perfect condition for much of the year. The climbing is very technical and mentally demanding up excellent Verdon style limestone rock, slightly off vertical for most of the route with only the 6 crux pitches being vertical. TRENTINOCLIMB offers an Alpine Guide service for this outstanding route, the dream of so many climbers, and comparable with an ascent of The Nose in Yosemite.
